Optics ready plates for Springfield

Springfield Armory's Hellcat, XD, XDM, and 1911 DS Prodigy all offer optics-ready variants. The Hellcat OSP uses a factory cut for compact optics; the XD and XDM OSP models have a larger cut suited to full-size red dots; the 1911 DS Prodigy uses a different cut geometry suited to the 2011-pattern slide. Each takes plates specific to its cut.

The reason to mount an optic on the Springfield is speed and consistency — a slide-level dot is faster to acquire than irons and stays in your sight picture as the gun cycles. The plate is the bridge: it mates the gun's mounting interface to your red dot's footprint and holds the optic low and rigid so point of aim does not wander.

Two dimensions have to line up — the cut or rail on the Springfield and the footprint of the optic you intend to run. A few plates include an integrated rear sight to preserve a co-witness backup. Check both against your setup on the individual product page before ordering.
